Heat vs. Knicks Series Preview & Picks: NBA Playoffs Eastern Semifinals
After Miami made their way through the NBA Play-In Tournament, not many people, ourselves included, gave the Heat much of a chance against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.
At this point, we all know how that went, so we can doubt the eighth-seeded Heat at our own peril, but at the same time the Knicks proved that they are quite worthy of our respect after they dispatched the Cavaliers with ease in five games.
Prior to this series beginning on Sunday, there is a lot to think about and consider, so what can we expect? Now, let us jump into our Heat vs. Knicks series preview with the odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.

Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks Eastern Conference Semifinals Predictions
Once Tyler Herro went down, what was an already bleak outlook for the Heat got even worse, but that was mitigated by an injury to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Ultimately, it did not matter as Antetokounmpo returned for the last two games of the series, but quite simply, no one was going to beat Jimmy Butler after he just put the Heat on his back and carried them to the second round.
Before we go any further though, we should note that there were similar expectations surrounding Donovan MItchell, but by now we know how that worked out for Cleveland. Led by Josh Hart, the Knicks did a great job shutting down the Cavaliers leading scorer while also playing balanced basketball on all sides of the ball. Of course, the concern now is going to be around the status of Julius Randle.
Best Bets & NBA Picks for the Heat vs. Knicks NBA Playoff Series Including New York to Win the Series
The Knicks played the last five games of the season without Randle as he was dealing with an ankle injury, and even though he did return, it never seemed like he was truly 100%. That was readily apparent in Game 4 as Randle struggled before spending the fourth quarter on the bench. Things appeared to be different in the first half on Wednesday until he re-injured that ankle.
While there is clear concern for Randle heading into Sunday’s game, the early indications are that this injury is not as severe. Even if that is the case, New York showed a great deal of depth while also playing true team basketball in all facets of the game. We know what Jalen Brunson is capable of, and Mitchell Robinson’s impact on the defensive end and on the boards cannot be overstated.
